How to delete pdf pages
- Open a PDF and view the page thumbnails.
- Click any pages you want to remove — they are highlighted in red.
- Save to download the PDF with those pages gone.
About this tool
The most common reason to delete PDF pages is getting rid of cover sheets, blank pages from duplex scans, and separator pages that print-to-PDF added. Clicking them in a thumbnail view is faster than writing a page range, and the visual feedback makes it obvious you have got the right ones.
Nothing is uploaded. The page grid renders via PDF.js in your browser and the edited file is assembled by pdf-lib, also locally. The original document is never modified; you download a new file with the selected pages absent.
Questions
Can I type a range instead of clicking pages individually?
Yes. There is a range input at the top of the page grid — type page numbers or ranges like "3, 7-12, 15" and those pages are selected automatically.
What happens to page numbers in the remaining pages?
The PDF's internal page order is renumbered, but any visible page numbers printed on the pages themselves are part of the page content and are not touched. If you need to update printed page numbers, use the Add Page Numbers tool after deleting.
Is deletion permanent?
In the output file, yes. Your original file is never modified — this always produces a new file. Keep the original if there is any chance you will need those pages later.
