How to organise pdf pages
- Open the PDF and wait for the page thumbnails to render.
- Drag pages to reorder them, click the rotate handle to turn any page 90°, and click the bin icon to mark pages for removal.
- Save to download the reorganised PDF.
About this tool
When a scanned document comes back in the wrong order, or a chapter needs moving, or three pages in the middle should never have been there, the page-grid view is the right way to handle it. Thumbnails of every page load in the browser and you work with them like physical papers on a desk: drag to where they belong, rotate the ones that scanned sideways, discard the blanks.
Everything — thumbnail rendering, reordering, the final save — happens on your device using PDF.js and pdf-lib. There is no intermediate upload even for the previews, which matters when the document is confidential.
Questions
Can I undo a deletion before saving?
Yes. Pages marked for deletion are shown faded until you save. Click a marked page again to restore it, or use the undo button.
How are thumbnails generated?
PDF.js renders each page to a Canvas in your browser, so there is no server involved even for the previews. Rendering speed depends on page complexity; simple text pages appear in under a second, dense diagram pages may take a few seconds each.
Is this different from the Rotate or Delete pages tools?
This tool does all three operations in one session, which saves round-trips when you need to do more than one thing to the same document. The dedicated tools are there when you only need to do one thing quickly.
