How to remove logo from video

About this tool

Blurring or pixelating a region of a video is a straightforward filter operation — the same thing journalists do to obscure faces and licence plates in news footage. It works well for its honest purpose: making a static logo in a fixed position unreadable. It does not reconstruct the image content that the logo was covering.

This limitation is worth understanding before you start. If the logo sits over a plain-coloured background, blur mode will produce an acceptably smooth patch that is barely noticeable. If it sits over fast-moving complex content — a nature documentary watermark over a bird in flight — the blur patch will be visible and distracting. In those cases the honest answer is that covering a watermark without reconstruction requires tools well beyond a browser-based application.

Questions

Will this completely remove the watermark?
It will cover it. The area under the blur or pixelate effect will not show the watermark, but it will not show the original background either — it will show a degraded version of whatever was there. For most logos on flat-colour backgrounds this is acceptable. For logos over complex moving backgrounds the disturbance is still visible, just different from the original.
What about moving watermarks?
A fixed rectangle is applied to every frame at the same position. If the watermark moves across the frame, some frames will not be covered. There is no automatic watermark tracking available. You would need to process each position separately, which is impractical for a freely moving bug.
Why is there no "AI remove" option?
Content-aware inpainting — actually reconstructing what was behind a watermark — is a research-grade task that requires either training data about the specific watermark or a general-purpose image inpainting model. Models large enough to do this plausibly run at a few seconds per frame; processing a sixty-second video at 30 fps would take hours even on capable hardware. We chose to be honest about what is technically achievable here rather than ship a feature that would disappoint.
